Bathroom & Kitchen Remodeling in Hialeah, FL

Miami Bath Kitchen & Tile remodels bathrooms and kitchens and installs tile in Hialeah. Many Hialeah homes are concrete block houses from the 1950s to the 1970s with small original bathrooms, galley kitchens and terrazzo floors, and we plan each project around those details and the City of Hialeah permit process.

Remodeling Hialeah's block homes

Hialeah grew fast after World War II, and a large share of its houses are single-story concrete block (CBS) homes built between the 1950s and the 1970s. They are solid houses, but their bathrooms and kitchens were sized for another era. A typical project here starts with one small hall bathroom, a dated pink or green tile wall, and a kitchen that has been patched over the years.

Small bathrooms, smarter layouts. In a 5 by 8 foot bathroom, every inch counts. Replacing a tub with a walk-in shower, using a wall-hung or compact vanity and adding a recessed niche instead of shelves can make the room feel twice as large without moving walls.

Old plumbing. Homes of this age often still have galvanized steel supply pipes and cast-iron drains. When we open the walls and floor, we check their condition and tell you what we find before tile goes back on, because replacing a corroded line now costs far less than tearing out a new shower later.

Terrazzo floors. Many Hialeah houses have original terrazzo under carpet or old tile. If you want to keep it, we plan transitions so the new bathroom or kitchen floor meets the terrazzo cleanly. If you prefer porcelain throughout, we level the floor properly first.

Permits. Hialeah is its own city, so permits and inspections go through the City of Hialeah, not Miami-Dade County. Work that moves plumbing, adds circuits or changes walls needs a permit; we prepare the paperwork and schedule the inspections.

Family homes. Many Hialeah homes have several generations under one roof. We plan the work so at least one bathroom stays usable, keep the site clean at the end of each day, and can walk you through every step in Spanish or English.

Frequently asked questions

Who issues remodeling permits in Hialeah?

The City of Hialeah has its own building department, so permits and inspections go through the city rather than Miami-Dade County. We prepare the application and schedule the inspections.

Can you keep my original terrazzo floor?

Often, yes. We protect it during demolition and plan the transition so the new bathroom or kitchen floor meets the terrazzo cleanly. Damaged areas can sometimes be repaired by a terrazzo specialist.

My house has old galvanized pipes. Should I replace them during the remodel?

It is the best time to do it, because the walls and floor are already open. We check the supply and drain lines when we demolish and tell you what we find, so you can decide before the new tile goes in.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. We can handle the whole project, from the first visit to the final walkthrough, in Spanish or English.
